I like the colors and bubbles, floor reflections (perfect!) and the plastic finish. Just a bit of difficulty seeing the actual surface of the liquid in the bottle that is lying on its side. I see the air gap, but really see no solid surface level inside of the bottle. Of course the consistency of Slurm is anyones' guess !
Yeah you are right about the surface.. My mother said the same thing as soon as she saw the image
I must say, you did a good job with the bottle itself - the shape is amazing, and the cap looks awesome. I don't see why you're being so hard on yourself

I find cycles much easier to use than say luxrender, you have much more control over the materials with blenders node system.. but it's not as realistic (It doesn't do caustics that well). Still WAAAY more realistic than BIender internal though XD
